Reliance Parts Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of 6081
and 8.1 Power Tech overhaul kits to our product line. These engines
are also referred to as 450 Series engines. Reliance is the first company
to offer these parts in the aftermarket. The 6081 and
8.1 Power Tech engines are used mainly in the 8000 Series farm tractors, but
are also used in many other higher horsepower industrial and
agricultural pieces of equipment. The earliest 8000 Series tractors are approaching
ten years of age and are entering the overhaul cycle.
Most of the components of these underhaul and overhaul kits are available
separately and are shown in the newest Reliance catalog.
Because of crankshaft design, we do not offer as many undersize bearings as
we do for other engines. Please make customers aware of this
before they machine their crankshaft. These
overhaul kits are only available in standard and .011mm undersize. We offer the crankshaft
main bearings in standard, .011mm undersize and .022mm undersize, while the
connecting rod bearings are only available in standard
and .011mm undersize. When ordering the .11mm undersize overhaul
kits, indicate with an “-11” after the kit part number.
