CRANKSHAFT THRUST WASHERS

All 300, 400 and 500 Series Deere diesel engines using flangeless thrust bearings must also use three thrust washers. Thrust washer sets are available in standard and .007 oversize. The thrust washers are installed on both sides of the bearing cap and on the rear side of the block web only. The .007 oversize thrust washer sets include one standard and two oversize thrust washers. The standard thrust washer should be installed in the front side of the bearing cap. The slotted face position should be installed toward the crankshaft flange.
