CRANKSHAFTS FOR 400 SERIES FOUR CYLINDER ENGINES

(USED ON 3010 & 3020 AGRICULTURAL TRACTORS AND

JD 500, JD510 & JD510A LOADER / BACKHOES)

With the addition of 400 Series four cylinder crankshafts to the Reliance parts line, both “early” and “late” versions are available. The difference between the two versions is the hub face of the crankshaft. The late version incorporates a centering guide on the face of the hub for the flywheel. The early version has a hub face that is flat.

Late version crankshafts can be used on early engines provided that the center hole of the flywheel is enlarged to accommodate the shoulder on the face of late crankshafts. The center hole of the flywheel should be machined to (72.01mm) 2.835 inches inside diameter.
